HES 9500 Series Surface Mounted Electric Strike – 3-Hour Fire-Rated Rim Exit Device Strike
HES 9500 Series is a 3-hour fire-rated, surface-mounted electric strike designed for rim exit devices with up to a 3/4-inch throw latchbolt. All components are encased in a low-profile 3/4″ thick stainless steel housing, so no cutting of the frame is required for installation. Simply mount the 9500 on the frame surface, align with the exit device’s latchbolt, and secure – the separate base and cover make adjustments easy.

This strike delivers Grade 1 holding strength (tested to 1,500 lbs static and 70 ft–lb dynamic impact) for high-security applications. It exceeds ANSI/BHMA standards for durability with 1,000,000+ cycle endurance. The 9500 is field-configurable for either fail-secure or fail-safe mode and supports 12V or 24V DC input with plug-in connectors. (Note: For fire-rated installations it must remain in fail-secure mode.) The strike is UL 1034 outdoor-rated for exterior use and UL 10C listed for 3-hour fire doors, complying with NFPA 80 retrofit guidelines.
